OUR COURSES
MHFA Australia’s courses are founded upon clinical, scientific research, internationally recognised and are award winning. Studies show that courses by MHFA Australia help to increase knowledge, confidence, and de-stigmatisation.

STANDARD MHFA
The 12-hour Standard Mental Health First Aid course teaches any adult (18 years and over) how to provide initial support to someone who is experiencing a mental health problem or crisis. Learn about the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems in adults, how to provide initial help, where and how to get professional help, what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective, and how to provide first aid in a crisis situation.

YOUTH MHFA
The 14-hour Youth Mental Health First Aid course teaches adults to support young people who are experiencing a mental health problem or crisis. It is suitable for school staff, support workers, parents, and other adults working with young people. Flexible delivery options including a blended face-to-face option are available for workplaces.

BLENDED MHFA IN THE WORKPLACE
Designed for workplaces that require increased flexibility in the delivery of training for their staff members, the Blended Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace course is a combination of online (eLearning) and 4 hours of follow-on face-to-face training.
